Actors » Stephen Moriaty

After over 30 years in the law Stephen decided to take his passion for acting to a professional level. He trained with The Actors Company at The London Centre For Theatre Studies and has since appeared in a variety of stage and screen productions from fringe theatre, pantomime and short films to being cast by Stephen Poliakoff (Dancing On The Edge-BBC) and Trevor Nunn (Inherit The Wind-Old Vic).   He has successfully toured the one man play Underneath The Lintel and played a central role in the feature film Onye Ozi. He is equally at home in a small production or as part of a large cast. He has played several doctors and businessmen and has so far been killed by crucifixion, broadsword and being shot in “bullet-time”.

Stephen loves music and is liable to burst into song at the drop of a hat having a repertoire from Gilbert and Sullivan to The Beatles.  He loves sport although these days more as a spectator. However he did complete the London Marathon in 2007 and keeps fit at the gym. This is particularly useful in helping him to keep up with his granddaughters.
