David grew up Sligo in the west of Ireland. He trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (BA Acting) and is an ongoing student of the voice work of Nadine George at Voice Studio International.

During his time in Scotland he worked with numerous leading companies including the National Theatre of Scotland, Citizens Theatre, The Tron, The Traverse, The Byre Theatre and Glasgow’s famous lunchtime theatre institution “A Play, A Pie & A Pint” at Oran Mor.

His one-man-show was Edinburgh Fringe hit A MOBILE THRILLER (performed in a moving sports car) which picked up a Herald Angel Award and went on to tour internationally.

Film work includes A SOLDIER'S SONG, THE MORBEGS, THE CHOP, A MAP WITH GAPS, IRISH TOURISM GLOBAL ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN, KOREA, and LOVE AND RAGE working alongside Greta Scacchi and Daniel Craig. David provided the narration for Alice Nelson's multi-award winning film A MAP WITH GAPS which screened at MoMA in New York.

In 2012 David and the team behind SEX, CHIPS AND THE HOLY GHOST were commissioned by Channel 4 to develop the project and create an in-house film for Channel 4 Comedy.

David recently re-located to London following a successful run of Drama at Inish at the Finborough Theatre working alongside Celia Imrie and Paul O’ Grady.
