Lance trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama) and American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. 

Lance has been performing since the age of 11 when he proudly strutted as part of the children’s marching band in a local production of The Music Man. He hasn’t stopped since. He has enjoyed a career that spans numerous forms, from Musical Theatre (favourites include Bay Boy and Debbie Does Dallas the Musical), Plays (several new works in San Francisco and the UK, classics like Death of a Salesman for which he was nominated as Best Featured Male Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle, San Francisco, CA USA), Films (Warner Bros. Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist directed by James Wan), Audiobooks (Channel Blue, Bad Monkey), and adverts (Arnold Clark, Cycling Scotland, Intu). He enjoys performing Improv and is a member of multiple groups. He has performed throughout the UK, in New York City, and San Francisco.
