Ali is an actress and musician (voice and violin) who trained at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA) and The Actors Temple, London. Ali has been lucky enough to tour across the world in music theatre productions of King Lear and A Midsummer Night's Dream (TNT/ADGE). Other theatre includes: Cause for Alarm (Waterloo East Theatre); Still I See My Baby (Theatre 503); The Echo Chamber (The Cockpit); and Under Milk Wood (Pentameters).

As co-founder of Whoop 'n' Wail Theatre Company, she co-wrote, produced and performed in eXclusion, which premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2011. It played to great reviews: “strong performances from a charismatic trio” – The Scotsman. Subsequent work includes Losing Light; Cascade of Baubles; Madjesty; and My Bloody Laundrette.

Screen work includes Molly's Rogue Landlord for Shelter England (Script, Shoot, Cut) and commercials for JML and Swatch. Film work includes F**K Off Medicine (Phillimore Films); and Why? and Into the Silent Land both shown in Cannes (Campbell Cloud Films).
